The Polk County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with the Board of County Commissioners and Keep Polk County Beautiful, Inc., brings their “Clean It Up to Green It Up” program to the unincorporated areas of Frostproof, Babson Park and South Lake Wales area on Saturday, December 15th, 2018.

This program will provide disposal of items that are NOT generally collected with their residential garbage such as remodeling & household construction debris, shingles, drywall, etc. on THIS DAY ONLY.  All households are asked to place these items by the curb no later than 6 a.m. Please DO NOT place your items by the curb more than 48-hours prior to the event, and absolutely NO tires or hazardous waste will be collected at curbside. 

In addition, a FREE tire recycling drop-off will be held at Warner University located at 13895 US-27, in Lake Wales from 8-am to 12-noon.
